Advanced Care for Set Medics

ReadySetMedic.com LLC, a partnership corporation formed by some IATSE local 480 Set Medics, is filing papers for recognition by the New Mexico EMS Bureau as a licensed Medical Rescue Service, working under protocols and the direction of a Physician. This will allow Set Medics listed as affiliates of ReadySetMedic.com LLC to provide medicine on set up to their level of licensure. ReadySetMedic.com LLC will not employ Set Medics. All Set Medics work directly for Production Companies under their agreements with IATSE.

ReadySetMedic.com LLC, as a Medical Rescue Service, will serve to allow higher levels of medicine to be practiced by Set Medics in New Mexico, comparable to that found in California, under the auspices of IATSE local 767. Our remote locations and low population density often present situations where definitive medical care for an ill or injured patient is far or very far away. Early advanced care can make an enormous difference in patient outcomes in such situations.

Set Medics will also be served by this evolution, since they will be able to maintain their medical licensure through affiliation with ReadySetMedic.com LLC as their primary Medical Rescue Service, and obtain continuing education through the Instructor Coordinators affiliated with ReadySetMedic.com LLC.

This is another way in which ReadySetMedic.com hopes to lead New Mexico’s Set Medic community to greater achievements.
